How to Make Ayurvedic Orange Turmeric Immunity Booster

I find that food has always been a method of medicine since our ancestors. The indigenous tribes of our ancestors globally had unique systems to integrate botany as a method of healing through various tribes, and depending on the season, so too would determine the quality of the plants, herbs, vegetables, fruits, and animals that would be honored and then consumed to enrich and nourish the human being. Based on the illness, war wound, pregnancy, and the like, food, in all its consumptions is a significant source of vitality and healing which evolved over the centuries. However, today, these ancient practices are still practiced in the remaining indigenous tribes around the world.

Here is the smoothie recipe I used along with a video of how I prepared it, so you can also take it to support your immunity and help fight the spread of COVID and its cohorts.

Use all Organic Ingredients for the best results.

  • 2tbsp turmeric

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk

  • 3 pods opened cardamom (can crush ahead of time)

  • 1/4 tbsp cinnamon

  • 2 heaping spoonfuls of yogurt

  • 4 cut oranges

  • raw honey (heart's content)

Quick Tips: To enjoy your smoothie cold (supports fever reduction)

1. Chill the blender container

2. Chill your favorite glass before pouring

Drink daily and adjust to taste. Can use lactose-free options and may use a vitamin D supplement for a Vegan-friendly option!

Be sure to check your dosha first to see which one may be increased or covered and adjust accordingly.
