Gentle Yoga Vijnamaya Kosha 50min Flow

Vijnamaya Kosha transcends us into higher states of consciousness. At this level, we are in the layer of the intellect. Connectedness to all things. The practices become slower and more mellow as we begin an introspective journey through the Self. There is no rushing through poses. We hold space and breath intelligence into the subtle areas of the body and observe sensations. Discover how the cerebral fluid flows through the spine and throughout the body, clearing away brain build-up and allowing for clarity and purpose.

These next few videos in the series will prepare us for the coming series of Meditation and Yoga Nidra that welcomes the last level of the Koshas, Anandamaya Kosha.

Gentle yoga invites all bodies to begin their yoga journey. Move your body with your breath. Begin slow. We use a variety of props in our gentle yoga classes to adapt and modify poses for accessibility and inclusivity. You are encouraged to pay attention to your body and the sensations that arise. Adapt and modify as needed.

Students are encouraged to remain in the regressed versions of the poses even if they are seasoned practitioners, to fully receive the nectar of the asana.

Always listen to your body and adapt the poses to work for you. All Bodies are different. In this video, we work on spinal rotation and use gentle poses that are accessible to most practitioners. Modifications offer alternative solutions to make these few poses a bit more adaptive.

Utilize the props as needed.
