Maharishi Ayurveda Yoga Asana for Beginners 45min
This class breaks down the Maharishi Yoga Asana Flow. If you have not begun integrating the Maharishi Yoga Asanas, here is a video to utilize for your personal practice. These asanas are created specifically for all three doshic constitutions and help to balance all 3, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, prior to meditation. We go through each asana in detail and provide you with key points about each one.
Use this video as a reference to guide you through your Maharishi Ayurveda Yoga sequencing and support you in creating your own sequences infusing some of the postures in your evolution. The practice should be pleasant and non-strenuous. Remember to take it easy and take it as it comes.

What does it mean by imbalances?
Unlike your constitution, your imbalances will vary, and you will have increases in one or more of the doshas above the amount appropriate for your constitution. Any doshas that are elevated, need to be pacified (or reduced) in order to return to optimal health. The recommendations throughout the yoga teacher training, go over the asanas that work to balance the various Ayurvedic constitutions. We will review a few as we progress along the min-course and or training.
How do you know if you’ve reached a balance?
Reaching a balance is when you have reached your natural, healthy ratio of the doshas as expressed in your constitution. The best way to gauge this is through pulse reading or discovering through your own consciousness the balance, harmony, and inner peace you are feeling and or experiencing. Noticing how what once irritated you has resided and you invite a deeper sense of knowingness.
Integrate your knowledge:
Before you continue, take a moment to note your 2 most dominant constitutions. How accurate are they?
Based on what you have learned so far, are they imbalanced, balanced, and what do you need to focus on?
Keep notes of these, as you will integrate these findings as you move through the material and through life.
