The Light In My Shadow
Where Medical Insight Meets Yogic Wisdom on the Path to Healing
My Story: Living with BPD, Bipolar, Manic Depression, Complex Trauma & Suicidal Ideation
In this raw and vulnerable episode, I open up about my journey living with multiple mental health diagnoses—how they’ve sabotaged my relationships, fed my addiction to emotional pain, and kept me spinning on a merry-go-round of trauma and shame. I explore how these shadows became constant companions—sometimes seductive, sometimes suffocating—and how I’ve slowly, painfully, but purposefully learned to face them.
Through the healing lenses of yoga and Ayurveda, I’ve begun to untangle the web. It hasn’t been easy. It’s been messy, teary, and filled with setbacks—but also breakthroughs. If you’ve ever felt like your mind was working against you or that your pain had its own personality, this episode is for you.
“Unless we heal the wounds that shame creates, especially wounds from childhood, we carry this crippling shame into our adulthood…” This is the work. And this is my truth.

S1 Ep:8 Paradigms and How they Block the Freedom to Enter Enlightenment with guest Maria Colleen
The mystical aspect of you that KNOWS somewhere that we all have a collective mission, to birth the spirit into the world for the evolution of humanity. The things that tell you otherwise are old programs, and some of them outright lies.” - Maria Colleen
S1 Ep:7 Complex Programming | Featuring Maria Colleen
Mental illness and where they “originate as the veils that are between two worlds” as Maria Colleen elaborates, tend to lend themselves to paradigm blindness or complex programming. Sometimes we remain where we are because we are afraid of the discomfort. However, that is what gives us the room to grow into our greatness.
