The Light In My Shadow
Where Medical Insight Meets Yogic Wisdom on the Path to Healing
My Story: Living with BPD, Bipolar, Manic Depression, Complex Trauma & Suicidal Ideation
In this raw and vulnerable episode, I open up about my journey living with multiple mental health diagnoses—how they’ve sabotaged my relationships, fed my addiction to emotional pain, and kept me spinning on a merry-go-round of trauma and shame. I explore how these shadows became constant companions—sometimes seductive, sometimes suffocating—and how I’ve slowly, painfully, but purposefully learned to face them.
Through the healing lenses of yoga and Ayurveda, I’ve begun to untangle the web. It hasn’t been easy. It’s been messy, teary, and filled with setbacks—but also breakthroughs. If you’ve ever felt like your mind was working against you or that your pain had its own personality, this episode is for you.
“Unless we heal the wounds that shame creates, especially wounds from childhood, we carry this crippling shame into our adulthood…” This is the work. And this is my truth.

Ep:14 Generating Abundance Through Conscious Intention: As You Think So Shall You Be. Planting the Seeds of the Eternal.
Abundance begins with recognizing what you already have and ways in which you are able to generate more of it. Ep:13 Generating Abundance Through Conscious Intention.
The EGO is what edges God out.
It’s the part of us that as Dr.Wayne Dyer says “tells us who we are by what we have. The more you have, the more you feel others are trying to take it away from you. So many spend so much time striving that they never get to arrive.”
This is illustrated as going against the current of life.
Ep:12 Compartiendo Esperanza Series 1: Substance Abuse in LatinX and Hispanic Communities. When One Seeks Outside Themselves.
When it comes to mental health our communities often see it as the big elephant in the room, we refused to embrace it due to the stigma amongst all races and nationalities, yet certain groups like the Hispanic and Latin X community further stigmatize mental health in part due to resilient nature and ability to always seek solutions for problems by ourselves instead of leaning or asking for help from others. Substance abuse has become the number one cause of dependency and addiction in the Latin American and specifically Puerto Rican communities. In this episode, we dive into the statistics and solutions on how we can help uplift our Hispanic communities and get them out of substance addiction.
