“Power Yoga” is the Hard Inner Work…

For me, “Power Yoga” isn’t the fast-paced classes and the near-impossible acrobatics. In my opinion, “power yoga” is the most challenging of practices because you are doing the hard INNER work. The practice of surrendering the ego (anamaya kosha) to seek the highest (anandamaya kosha), through the layers pranamaya, manomaya, vijnanamaya koshas. Every destination leads to another progressive evolution.

Power is manifested from prana.

Personal Affirmations:

  • I Breathe life into my practice

  • I Breathe life into mySelf

God is present in all things, it is we that see with blinders on.

Returning to my baseline is taking my power back and the ultimate “power yoga” practice. It is taking the time to sit with God, respond instead of reacting (cooling my Pitta dosha), being in spaces of solitude more with no agenda other than to meditate and maintain my yoga practice. These foundations are what return me to balance in the midst of chaos, and how I have been able to remain focused in a time of overwhelm. Home base is taking my power back and recognizing my flaws and embracing them with compassion.

Saturday, we will hang out on FB LIVE for 30ish minutes (or more knowing me), to combine the physical and energetic layers with the Intellect and Transcendent layers. We will have a little Q&A, clinic, and class.
