Fear into Fuel…the Power of Pranamaya Kosha
I decided I am turning my fear into fuel. Yeah, I can see where I was allowing myself to let fear get the best of me, especially in a virtual world where although we feel so connected, and at times, feel so lost in the ocean of images, positive quotes, and so on. I think to myself, is there anyone even watching, does anyone even care?
I was letting my insecurities, self-doubt, and uncertainties dictate the direction of the course that is already laid out for me that I was trying to control, and therefore getting in my way. I needed to take a reset, a time to stop and look at the big picture and not the minute. I know the mantra, “take it easy take it as it comes”, and “be present”, and all the like, but “being present now” also requires me to look at the big picture. The fuel that was firing me was the fear of the evolution into what I was becoming.
At times I feel I don’t give myself enough credit, and I’m sure a lot of you may be in the same space. So I’m taking all of the self-sabotaging and limiting beliefs and using them as the fuel to stoke the fire of transformation taking all of those environmental influences and moving forward with the dharma I am created to do.
This last evening, I had to sit with this journaling question because it hit home for me.
“It took a lot for me to look at my own words and admit to myself the fear that I was facing.”
Fear of being alone, fear of failure, fear of letting others down, fear of letting myself down… It drove me to a place where I had fear of doing anything because I didn’t wanna offend, upset, or disrespect anyone with anything that I offer, post, or share.
Then it hit me, I’m sharing what I’m going through because I know others are going through it too and there’s a community and a collective that needs support like me.
There are single women out there that are entrepreneurs that are finding it hard to have relationships, there are Mothers out there that are committed to this passion and desire to start a business and at the same time struggling to balance family life and entrepreneurial life, men that are afraid to take up yoga because of what their peers may think… and the list goes on.
“We are not everything to everyone, nor can we please everybody. The only person that we can please is ourselves.”
Pranamaya Kosha’s class and journaling topic this week, made me realize the depth of these layers of consciousness. These layers of discovery unfolding themselves into the path experienced in this process. Journaling this deep inner work gave me clarity as to why I am here today sharing this and taking this journey along with you. We, and I, need those moments of clarity and refinement to stoke the fire within giving us the fuel needed to guide us consciously along the way. I am grateful for today’s journal entry because it opened me up to what I was holding inside.
Being able to be vulnerable with a community of others that are sharing and experiencing the same things is extremely heartwarming. I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday morning, and flowing together!
Feel free to share, comment, or message me with anything you would like to offer.
Much love and God Bless.
